i think my HB ID has a curse.
everytime i post on a new board....
one of two things happen.
#1 -- it never gets replied to... and
i'll see my ID on the main page for days...
and it becomes buried in a heap of threads,
still without a reply
#2 -- the thread will be replied to...
only ignoring my post.
ok... its not like i expect a big ta-do-dah
on boards just because i post...
but theres no fucking reason why people
have to be all gay because a new poster
posts on their board.
frankly, i find it rude.
especially if i get the impression that
the main reason why my post is being
skipped over is because i'm an 'outsider'.
hb is open to posts from any registered
user...
and as far as i'm concerned, i'm a friggin
registered user. secondly... boards need
posts to stay afloat... well i'm friggin
postin..
and to ignore a new poster on the basis
that they are an outsider is bullshit.
there has never been an outsider that has
posted on this board that hasn't received
a reply by me.
sure, some people take a few days to respond...
but weeks?
fuck 'em.
i'm tired of trying to be sociable...
i make a strong effort to visit other boards
and to kinda circulate through the
underpinnings of hb...
but if people are going to be gay and
act gax because there is a new poster...
screw that.
they can wallow in the same repititious,
hum-drum, boring drama that is sputtered
out on their boards until the dawn of
christ, for all i care.
i'm being nice here.
i'm not asking for these people to post on
my board in return.
but what i am asking for is a little common
DECENCY to make a person feel somewhat
open.

Maybe they don't want 'outsiders' posting there? Ans they figure that if they ignore it, you'll not post again?

people with cliques like that have 2 options:
#1 -- ban me
#2 -- get a private board
otherwise, its free reign.

WOW never thought of that.. is it acually possible to ban Shatzy? Oh that would get a gay board in a world of hurt. :-) It be the Shazty Reign til hell froze over for them.

nah. you can't ban admin... well... scratch that.
you can put the ID in the ban field and hit ENTER...
and it will show up as banned....
but it won't stop my post from going through.
believe it or not... i seem to have a remarkable
memory for boards i've visited... and i have a
running file in my head. so if i have a bad
experience there... its logged.
weird.
